How many of you out there watched the game today when New york played Oklahoma City Thunder? As you can see on the picture on the left, Kevin Durant got dunked on! Yeah he got dunked on. The Knicks are on a 12 game winning streak and this is the best time for a team to be hot since playoffs are just around the corner. Watch out NBA world, the Knicks are rolling and are capable of winning a championship. Probably not, but they have a better chance of winning a championship than the Oklahoma City Thunder.

We all now know who's going to be playing in the National championship game on Monday (Louisville versus Michigan). How many of you had that on your bracket? Well for me my bracket was destroyed after the second round because most of the teams I thought were going to make it didn't make it as far as I thought. I guess that's why it's called March Madness. This whole bracket thing to me is pure ''madness'' because most of the people I know who filled brackets threw them away after the second round. I am considering not filling brackets anymore starting next year because some teams always let me down and I know most of you out there feel the same way too. Maybe I am the only one with a bracket broken into pieces. How does yours look?

Most people in the country are sleeping on the Wichita State men's basketball team who won four games against good teams to make it to the final four by beating Pittsburg, Gonzaga, Lasalle and Ohio state but yet all the attention seems to be on the cardinals of Louisville this whole week. Well we should all not forget what their mascot name is "Shockers" and America might be in for another shock tonight when the shockers go head-to-head against Louisville in one of the two final four matchup games in Atlanta. I am not saying Wichita State is going to beat Louisville at all cost but I am saying is that we should all watch out since all the attention has been on the Louisville team this whole weak and barely any attention given to Wichita State. Lets all see how everything is going to unfold today in Atlanta and good luck to both teams.

Carmelo Anthony has been putting up some crazy numbers the last couple of games and the knicks riding on a 11 game winning streak. What do you basketball fans out there think? MVP or not. He's probably going to claim the scoring title from Kevin Durant because thats how things are looking now from the way Melo is playing. Cant wait to see the Miami heat and the Knicks in the NBA Eastern Conference finals to see how Melo is going to light Lebron James up. Lets go Melo lets

Watching  Danillo Gallinari of the Denver Nuggets go down with a season ending injury (torn ACL) last night against the Dallas mavericks was a hard pill to swallow for the Nuggets, fans, and for the team. Gallinari is one of the better Small forwards in the NBA and will be deeply missed by his team. But I still think the Nuggets will do fine in the playoffs even though one of their better play makers is out,  because the denver Nuggets are a well balanced team and do not depend on one guy because of their style of play. They have about five or more guys who average double digits which you don't find in  many teams in the NBA. Basketball analysts don't like the chances of the Nuggets because they feel the Nuggets need Gallinari in the Playoffs to win because the tempo of the game will be slowed down in the playoffs and their style of play will not take them far. But wait, that is not a fact it's just the opinions of basketball analysts and we are all going to find out come playoff time. I am also just stating my opinions because I think the Nuggets will do just fine in the playoffs without him. Coach Karl will just have to find the right guy on the team to take on Gallinari's role which they have a few guys who are capable of doing that.

Rutgers University has been under a lot of scrutiny this week because of a released video about how Men's basketball coach Mike Rice treated his players during practices. This has led to the firing of Mike Rice and the resignation of Athletic Director Tim Parnetti. I think  there are people like me out there who might be tired of hearing about this scandal anytime they turn on the television. We all agree that Mike Rice was probably taking things a little bit extreme on how he conducted practice and the school authorities should have probably done something about it earlier or taken on some leadership about the whole situation. But one thing we must all remember is that, these people are all human beings just like us and are bound to making mistakes. Mike Rice made mistakes on the techniques he used to coach. Tim Parnetti resigned because he felt he should have done more which we all understand and agree. What I don't understand is why the media is just blowing this out of proportion like people were killed in this whole scandal. It was just  men like anyone else who made mistakes and accepted their mistakes and wished they could have done more. Yet some  people in the public still don't want to let this go which i think it's a bit ridiculous. People always act like they have never made any mistakes in their lives before and always trying to put a finger at others. Well the message here is that Mike Rice made mistakes that he regretted and apologized and we should all let it go and move on.

The University of Rutgers Men's basketball coach, Mike Rice, has been brought under scrutiny because of the way he treated his players by verbally and physically abusing them. Watching the video that was released by ESPN today on how Mike RIce treated his players in practice, some of the actions exhibited by Rice seemed a little bit extreme like throwing the ball of a player's head and kicking a player in the butt. But all the others   i think were not that extreme in my opinion because I can almost guarantee that about 60 percent of coaches in division one do some of the things Mike Rice was shown doing in the video, but never go under scrutiny which by the standards of division one basketball is very normal if not taken to the extreme. If every division one program went under investigation to see how practices were conducted, what Mike Rice was seen doing on tape would have been seen in a lot of other programs too. I am not supporting what Mike Rice did but all I am saying is that some of the actions seen on tape were probably blown out of proportion. This is just an opinion and everyone will probably have a different take on this issue.

There are not many basketball teams in America who care about each other like the Louisville basketball team. The reason why I say this is that we could all see the reaction of Kevin Ware's teammates when he got injured on Sunday . Teammates from most other teams would have just felt sorry for Ware and probably would have just moved on with the game. However, this Louisville team showed love and compassion for a teammate.  This compassion they showed is a kind of compassion I have never seen before in all my years of watching basketball. Or perhaps it was  the severity of the injury that made them show so much compassion for their teammate Kevin Ware. Watching the game all I could see was a team who really cared for one another on and off the court, and wanted to win for each other. The team showed so much heart and courage. Some other teams would have thrown in the white towel if an injury like that happened to any of their teammates. Louisville wanted to win for him and I believe they can go all the way and win the National championship.

I was just wondering to myself why the University of Florida basketball team did not want to scrimmage  Florida Gulf Coast during the preseason when the eagles wanted to scrimmage them. Maybe Coach Billy Donovan had concerns about how his team would match up against the eagles. One would think the gators would have wanted to scrimmage them since the two schools are not too far apart from each other and it wouldn't have counted against their record. But life always has an interesting way of playing out. If coach Donovan had scrimmaged them he would probably have a better idea of what his team needs to do when they face up in the sweet sixteen. I bet coach Donovan would have rather taken a preseason loss than take a sweet sixteen loss. Well, when they square up for the sweet sixteen match up all of America is going to know why the Gators did not want to scrimmage them. Was it out of fear? We are all yet to find out.

Watching the green bay packers play in the divisional playoff round against the San Francisco 49ers was so disappointing. The packers have arguably the best quarterback in the game but watching them play the 49ers was totally a different story. First and foremost a quarterback is only as good as his offensive line men allows him to be . Watching the packers looked like it was Aaron Rodgers against the other team’s defense. This guy literally gets no protection from his offensive line. Most of the time he is left by himself on an island to make plays by himself but yet he still comes through most times and that just tells me how great of a quarterback Rodgers is. I thought football was the ultimate team sport by watching the packers play the 49ers didn’t look like the ultimate team sport football is supposed to be. This was very evident in the game against the 49ers when Rodgers was tackled almost every time he had the ball and his offensive line was nowhere to be found. Also watching the Packers play on defense, it looked like the 49ers players were just too fast and too athletic for the green bay defense . I think front office and Coach  Mike McCarthy has to consider making some changes for next season if they want to see the packers advance to win the Superbowl which i think they are very capable of because they still have one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
